Illinois Basketball: Illini all-time lists Kofi Cockburn will crack this season

4. Season Free Throw Attempts

Opposing teams have attempted to go “Hack-a-Shaq” on Kofi Cockburn over the past couple of seasons. This has enabled him to rack up a ton of free throws. This past season, Kofi shot 217 free throws for the Illini. Shooting that many free throws puts him No. 5 all-time in single-season free throw attempts. He is one spot ahead of legend, Red Kerr.

5. Career Free Throw Attempts

The 217 free throws Kofi ended up shooting this past season put him smack dab in the middle of the single-season free throw list. But if he continued to shoot free throws at that high of a clip, he would also find himself on the career free throw attempts list. If Kofi attempted 217 free throws this season, he would finish his career with 598 free throw attempts. This would put him No. 4 all-time in career free throw attempts, right behind Malcolm Hill.

6. Career Free Throws Made

With all of the free throws Kofi has shot and will shoot, he is eventually make enough to land on the list of career free throws made. In fact, Kofi made 120 free throws this past season. If he duplicates that this season, then he will finish with 351 free throws made for his career. That would put Kofi No. 9 all-time in career free throws made for the Illini.
