Linebackers

Starter: Jake Hansen

The linebacker corps has been solid for Illinois this season. It needs to stay healthy for the Illini to have any chance of winning. Jake Hansen is once again having a great year. He should be starting every game this season for the Orange and Blue. He has 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 1 interception this season.

Starter: Dele Harding

Dele Harding has impressed me this season too. I wasn’t sure what to expect out of him as he transitioned into a starting role, but he has done a great job for the Illini. He leads the team with 30 tackles this season. He also added in an interception.

Starter: Milo Eifler

Illinois has added quite a few transfers to the team over the last couple of years. The addition of Milo Eifler has really helped stabilize the Illinois linebackers. He helps provide depth and should see a start in every game this season. Through three games, Eifler has 13 tackles and 1 pass deflection.

Backup: Shammond Cooper, Tarique Barnes
