COMMITTED

To build Illinois back into a college football team that can compete night in and night out with any program in the country, they are going to need more firepower.

This firepower could come in the form for Carmoni Green.

Green is a 4-star wide receiver from Miami, Florida.  He is an extremely wanted recruit that actually has his list down to just five programs.

Right now, Green will be choosing from Oregon State, UCF, Pittsburgh, Utah, and Illinois.

It has been widely speculated that Green’s decision is really down to just two schools, Pittsburgh and Illinois.

Green has decided to finish up his recruitment quite early, though.  He has announced that his decision on where he wants to play football will be on August 25.

This doesn’t mean Green is set in stone going to that program, though.

Green says that despite his commitment on August 25 that he will continue to take official visits to Illinois, Pittsburgh, and Oregon State.

The day Green is supposed to make his commitment, he is also visiting Pittsburgh.  This might be a sign that the Panthers will get his pledge, but like I said, nothing is set in stone.
