Here is a rundown of how Williams and Meyers are faring in the NBA so far this season.

Dec 12, 2012; Toronto, ON, Canada; Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams (8) takes the ball up the court against the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre.
The last game Deron Williams played was on December 12th against the Toronto Raptors. The Nets defeated the Raptors 94-88 and snapped a five game losing streak that dated back to the beginning of December.

Brooklyn had five total players rack up double-digit points in the game (three starters and two off the bench). The leading scorer for the Nets was Joe Johnson.

Johnson played 43 minutes and went 7-of-14 from the field, hit four 3-pointers, made five free throws, and finished the game with 23 points.

The other starters with double-digit points were Andray Blatche (14) and Deron Williams (12). The two bench players with double-digit points were Kris Humphries (11) and C.J. Watson (16).

Williams’ twelve points is his fewest since the team’s loss on December 1st against the Miami Heat (scored ten points). He played 38 minutes and went 5-of-16 from the field. He also had two rebounds and four assists in the game.

According to ESPN, Williams said It’s good to get back on a winning track. It’s something we needed in the worst way” after the game.

The last game that Meyers Leonard played was on December 13th against the San Antonio Spurs. The Blazers defeated the Spurs 98-90. Portland had four of their starters score double-digit points. The biggest were LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard who finished with 22 and 29 respectively. J.J. Hickson also had a nice game as he recorded a double-double on the night (12 rebounds and 12 points).

Leonard played 17 minutes off the bench and scored only two points, but recorded eight rebounds and one steal. The knee injury he had seems to not be bothering him anymore. In Portland’s six December games, Leonard is averaging 4.0 points per game, 3.2 rebounds, and and 1.0 blocks in 15.2 minutes.

Williams’ next game will be on December 14th as the Nets play the Detroit Pistons in Brooklyn. Leonard’s next game will be on December 16th as the Trailblazers play the New Orleans Hornets (or Pelicans) in Portland.

Here is a rundown of how Williams and Meyers are faring in the NBA so far this season.

First, the last game Deron Williams played was on December 4th against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It looked like the Thunder were going to blow out the Nets and led 61-48 at the half.

Dec. 4, 2012; Brooklyn, NY, USA; Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Kevin Durant (35) dribbles the ball around Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams (8) during the second half at Barclays Center. Thunder won 117-111. Mandatory Credit: Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were Oklahoma City’s leading scorers. Durant scored 32 points and Westbrook scored 25 points in the game. The Thunder have scored over 100 points ten times this season. This is the first time a team has done that in 15 years.

Despite losing, Williams scored a season-high 33 points against the Thunder. He also led the team in assists with seven in the game. The Nets were playing without Brook Lopez and Reggie Evans. Brooklyn is now on a two game losing streak and had their six-game home winning streak snapped. Their last two losses have been against NBA Finalists, Miami and Oklahoma City.

According to ESPN, Williams said “We played tough at the beginning of the first half of the Miami game. So those are two teams that have been together for a couple of years. They’ve won at the highest level and they know how to play together. We’re still trying to figure things out.”

The last game that Meyers Leonard played was on December 3rd against the Charlotte Bobcats. The Blazers defeated the Bobcats 118-111 in overtime. Portland received big scoring from LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard who finished with 25 and 24 points respectively. Ben Gordan set a Bobcats’ franchise record with eight 3-pointers and finished with 29 points. He also scored his 10,000 career point in the game.

Leonard played 17 minutes off the bench and scored four points while recording three rebounds and a block. He is still listed day-to-day with a knee injury. However, Chris Haynes from CSN Northwest reported that Leonard will play against the Washington Wizards on December 5th.

Williams’ next game will be on December 7th as the Nets will play the Golden State Warriors in Brooklyn. Leonard’s next game will be on December 5th as the Trail Blazers will play the Indiana Pacers on the road.

Here is a rundown of how Williams and Meyers are faring in the NBA so far this season.

Nov. 26, 2012; Brooklyn, NY, USA; Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams (8) and New York Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony (7) on the court during the second half at the Barclays Center. Nets won in overtime 96-89. Mandatory Credit: Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE

First, the last game Deron Williams played was on November 26th against the New York Knicks. It was the very first meeting between the Nets and the Knicks since the Nets move to Brooklyn. This was first match-up of Brooklyn and New York pro franchises since the Dodgers played the New York Giants on Sept. 8 1957. The game sounded like a playoff game as Brooklyn defeated New York 96-89 in overtime.

Williams played 43 minutes as he recorded his second straight double-double of the season (third one of the season). He went 6-of-17 from the field as he scored 16 points and dished out 14 assists. He also recorded three steals and six rebounds.

According to ESPN, Williams said “this was a playoff-type atmosphere. You could definitely feel it on the court and it was a great game to be a part of” after the game.

The last game that Meyers Leonard played was on November 26th against the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons defeated the Trail Blazers 108-101 as Detroit got great play from their players. The Pistons had seven players with double digit points as Portland’s Damian Lillard had an off night. Lillard entered as the NBA’s top rookie scorer, but missed his first 12 shots from the field.

On the other hand, Meyers Leonard had a nice game for the Trail Blazers against the Pistons. Leonard played 21 minutes off the bench and scored eight points while recording three blocks and four rebounds. He did get knocked around a bit and did hurt his knee in the third quarter, but still had a nice game off the bench in the loss.

Both Williams and Leonard will be back in action on November 28th. Williams and the Nets will take a trip to Boston to play the Celtics while Leonard and the Blazers will travel to the nation’s capital to play the Wizards.
