The Georgia native has received offers from the Arkansas Razorbacks, Louisville Cardinals, North Carolina State Wolfpack, North Carolina Tar Heels, Stanford Cardinal, Cincinnati Bearcats, UCONN Huskies, Duke Blue Devils, East Carolina Pirates, Georgia State Panthers, Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana Hoosiers, Kansas State Wildcats, Ohio Bobcats, Ohio State Buckeyes, Syracuse Orange, Central Florida Knights, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Wisconsin Badgers.

Out of all his offers, it seems Tucker is most interested in Arkansas, Louisville, North Carolina State, North Carolina, and Stanford.

His best skills are his athleticism, lateral movement, reactive quickness, and pursuit of the football.

Tucker will visit the Ohio State Buckeyes for their football camp on June 21st.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 71st in the state of Georgia and 55th among outside linebackers by 247Sports.

The staff of Writing Illini gives their opinions about whether or not former Oklahoma State quarterback Wes Lunt will choose to transfer to the Illinois Fighting Illini. Lunt is considering transferring to five school. The school are Illinois, Southern Miss, Louisville, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

Sept. 8, 2012; Tucson, AZ, USA; Oklahoma State Cowboys quarterback Wes Lunt (11) throws during the first half against the Arizona Wildcats at Arizona Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Ricky: Wes Lunt would be a nice story if he decided to transfer to the Illinois Fighting Illini. He is from Illinois and he has a good relationship with head coach Tim Beckman. However, the question needs to be asked. Why would he want to transfer to Illinois?

First off, even though his 2012 season wasn’t very good, Nathan Scheelaase will be the starter for the Illini in 2013. This means Lunt would sit for one year. Then, look at the other quarterbacks on the Illinois roster. The two most important QBs are Reilly O’Toole and Aaron Bailey. O’Toole is a junior who could start in 2014 while Bailey is a freshman who will most likely be redshirted in 2013, but could challenge for the starting role in 2014. Because of this, Lunt will mostly likely choose Southern Miss and former Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

Ryan: It’s possible Wes Lunt could land at Illinois, but not probable. Lunt was recruited by both Illinois and Western Michigan before he ultimately decided on Oklahoma St. during his initial recruitment. So, he has familiarity with both HC Tim Beckman and OC Bill Cubit. Couple that familiarity with Urbana’s proximity to Lunt’s hometown of Rochester, and you probably have your two biggest reasons why Illinois is still in the mix for his services.

That said, in this 2nd round of recruiting battles for his talents, Illinois is reportedly going up against five schools including a pair of SEC schools (Tennessee and Vanderbilt), Louisville, and Southern Miss (Former OSU OC Todd Monken is now there). I hope I am wrong, but my guess is that Lunt lands at either Tennessee or Vanderbilt. With the Illinois program in a current state of disarray, I think the allure of playing for an SEC school that produced a current starting NFL QB like Tennessee (Peyton Manning), or Vanderbilt (Jay Cutler), will most likely be too much to overcome for the Illini.

Austin: Wes Lunt is a good quarterback. He listed Illinois as a possibility. Not to be a negative Nancy, but it will not happen. He is going to Southern Mississippi. Most of the time when a player transfers, they follow a coach that has recently left. Todd Monken will bring Lunt to campus and will immediately improve their team. I would love to see Lunt in the Orange and Blue, but it just is not going to happen.

What do you think, Illini nation? Will Wes Lunt decide to transfer to Illinois? Would he fit in with the Illini?

The teams that Scott is heavily interested in are Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and South Florida.

Out of those eight teams, many seem to think that Michigan is at the head of the pack.

The 247 Sports Crystal Ball currently has the Wolverines as a 100% predicted spot to land the 2014 recruit.

As a junior in 2012, Scott recorded 995 receiving yards on 64 receptions and ten receiving touchdowns. He also recorded 122 rushing yards on thirteen attempts and one rushing touchdown.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 12th in the state of Florida, 15th among wide receivers, and 115th among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
