The Chicago, Illinois native has received offers from the Illinois Fighting Illini, DePaul Blue Demons, Florida State Seminoles, Harvard Crimson, Providence Friars, and Virginia Tech Hokies.

Law is not only one of the top five recruits from the state of Illinois, but he is also in the top 20 small forwards.

Even though Law has another full year to play in high school, this is one recruit that the Fighting Illini cannot let slip away. Illinois needs to target more Chicago recruits in order to be successful. Just like the Miami football in the 80s/90s, John Groce needs to rope off Chicago and label it the “State of Chicago.” The Peoria Pipeline might be coming to an end for the Illini, but the Chicago pipeline could be opening.

By looking at the 2013 commits for Illinois, two out of the five are from the city of Chicago. Those two recruits are Kendrick Nunn and Jaylon Tate.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 5th in the state of Illinois, 16th among small forwards, and 54th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.

Out of these twenty-eight teams, it is projected that he is heavily interested in LSU and West Virginia.

Simmons is a 6’0″, 175 pound safety from Arlington, Texas. He plays for Mansfield Timberview High School.

Mansfield Timberview finished this season with an overall record of 3-7 and did not make the Texas State Playoffs.

On January 5th, Simmons was named to the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 25th in the state of Texas, 17th among safeties, and 196th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
