The 2013 Senior Bowl will kickoff today at 4:00 p.m.

Many different seniors will try to impressive the NFL scouts to make a buzz before the NFL Combine. Players will need to be on their game today because there is no one in this year’s Senior Bowl that does not need to move up.

Here are five players to watch in today’s Senior Bowl.

1) QB Landry Jones (Oklahoma) – South

Out of all six quarterbacks in the 2013 Senior Bowl, Landry Jones is the most important one. Jones did not have the season that many were expecting him to have this year. This year is the weakest quarterback class the NFL Draft has seen in years. If Jones can excel in the 2013 Senior Bowl, he could move up the ranks among the quarterback class. He most likely will not be a first rounder, but could be among the first quarterbacks taken with a good Senior Bowl game.

2) WR Denard Robinson (Michigan) – North

Denard Robinson has the most to gain or the most to lose in this year’s Senior Bowl. He is a mobile quarterback that is trying to switch to wide receiver. Who does that sound like? Remember Marcus Vick of Virginia Tech? Robinson can either make a name for himself as a wide receiver or become the next Marcus Vick.

3) WR Tavarres King (Georgia) – South

Besides Denard Robinson, the actual wide receiver who needs to have a good performance in the Senior Bowl is Tavarres King. He did not record triple-digit yards until the SEC Championship and he has been know to have a case of the “drop-skies.” With a good performance on today in Mobile, King can either put his name into the wide receiver discussion or be a mid-to-late draft pick-up.

4) OL Eric Fisher (Central Michigan) – North

Eric Fisher is one of the top offensive lineman coming into this April’s draft. One concern that some have about him is the level of competition he faced while at Central Michigan. The Senior Bowl could be the chance Fisher needs to prove how good he really is. If Fisher plays well, he might become a Top 10 pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

5) DL Ezekial Ansah (BYU) – South

Ezekial Ansah is similar to Eric Fisher. He could be a sleeper in this year’s Senior Bowl. The general public might sleep on him because he is from BYU, but he could prove to everyone that he deserves to be labeled as a first round talent. Some have him as a late first rounder although a good performance can only make his stock go up.
