Oregon is a member of Pac-12 conference. They finished ninth in the Pac-12 last season with a conference record of 7-11.

Currently, the Ducks are 0-7 this season.

The Ducks have been swamped by injuries this season. First, senior guard Laura Stanulis and sophomore guard/forward Lexi Petersen both suffered season-ending knee injuries.

They were both in the top five in scoring on the team at the time of their injuries.

Another Oregon player that will miss her second straight game is sophomore guard Amanda Delgado. She is averaging 12.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and has ten steals this season.

Oregon’s three-sport athlete Liz Brenner will not play Wednesday because she is still with the Ducks’ volleyball team, which competes in the NCAA Final Four this weekend.

Oregon’s top two leading scorers are freshman forward Jillian Alleyne and junior forward Danielle Love. Alleyne leads the team with 14.9 points per game and Love is second with 13.1 points per game.

Alleyne is also averaging a double-double through seven games. Along with her 14.9 points per game, she is also averaging 15.3 rebounds per game. Her 15.3 rebounds per game leads the entire nation.

The Illini last met the Oregon Ducks on November 18, 2011 in Eugene, Oregon. Illinois erased a 16-point second-half deficit, but Oregon still pulled out a 77-74 victory. Kersten Magrum led the Illini with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Ideally, this looks like it could be an easy game for the Illini, but Oregon has come close to winning this season. Against Portland State, the Ducks went into double-overtime, but still lost.

If Illinois continues their success on offense and avoids turnovers, they should be victorious over the Oregon Ducks.
