After receiving his twelveth offer on Thursday, 2014 recruit Brian Allen traveled to Oxford, Mississippi in order to unofficially visit the Ole Miss Rebels. The Rebels offered at Allen on February 5th and this will be his first trip to Oxford.

November 17, 2012; Baton Rouge, LA, USA Ole Miss Rebels head coach Hugh Freeze during warm ups prior to kickoff of a game against the LSU Tigers at Tiger Stadium.
The three-star center and defensive tackle currently has offers from the Virginia Tech Hokies, Michigan State Spartans, Wisconsin Badgers, Boston College Eagles, Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana Hoosiers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Kentucky Wildcats, Maryland Terrapins, Missouri Tigers, Ole Miss Rebels, and Purdue Boilermakers.

The Ole Miss Rebels are one of five SEC teams who are pursuing Allen. Although, it is not the SEC that they need to worry about. The conference Ole Miss should worry about is the Big Ten. Allen has received offers from six Big Ten teams and the only Big Ten team not interested in Allen is the Penn State Nitany Lions. Northwestern, Michigan, and Nebraska have yet to offer, but expect offers to come in the future.

I wouldn’t be surprise if Northwestern is the next Big Ten team to offer at him.

Allen is a 6’2″, 273 pound iron man from Hinsdale, Illinois. He is currently a junior at Hinsdale Central High School.

It seems as if Michigan State could be Allen’s favorite so far in his recruitment. This is because he is the younger brother of Michigan State 2011 signee, Jack Allen. (Source: 247 Sports)

Allen has a visit planed with Florida on March 27th.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 13th in the state of Illinois and 2nd among centers by 247Sports.

Three-star 2014 center and defensive tackle recruit Brian Allen has received a ton of offers so far in his recruitment, and he received a major ACC offer on March 21st from the Virginia Tech Hokies. One of the top 15 prospects in the state of Illinois in the 2014 class, Allen translates best at the center position, but could also be a nice fit as a defensive tackle.

The Hinsdale, Illinois standout currently has offers from the Virginia Tech Hokies, Michigan State Spartans, Wisconsin Badgers, Boston College Eagles, Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana Hoosiers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Kentucky Wildcats, Maryland Terrapins, Missouri Tigers, Ole Miss Rebels, and Purdue Boilermakers.

The Hinsdale Central Red Devils made it to the Class 8A Illinois State Playoffs. However, they lost to Oak Park-River Forest High School, 24-28, in the first round.
