2014 outside linebacker Richard Yeargin III received an offer from the Illinois Fighting Illini on Monday. Yeargin has a 90 rating and is ranked 399th on 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Yeargin has received offers from the Arkansas Razorbacks, Clemson Tigers, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Marshall Thundering Herd, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Tennessee Volunteers, UCLA Bruins, Boston College Eagles, Bowling Green Falcons, Duke Blue Devils, Hawaii Warriors, Illinois Fighting Illini, Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Massachusetts Minutemen, Mississippi State Bulldogs, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Nebraska Cornhuskers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Northwestern Wildcats, Ole Miss Rebels, Pittsburgh Panthers, Purdue Boilermakers, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, South Carolina Gamecocks, Stanford Cardinal, Syracuse Orange, Central Florida Knights, Vanderbilt Commodores, Virginia Cavaliers, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, Washington State Cougars, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

Out of all his offers, it seems he is most interested in Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and UCLA.

Yeargin’s best skills have to be his frame, pursuit of the football, and his reactive quickness. Overall, he is a well-rounded linebacker, but could also play defensive end.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 34th in the state of Florida and 28th among outside linebackers by 247Sports.

The Illinois Fighting Illini took their recruiting to the state of Michigan on Monday as they extended an offer at Rochester native Matt Sokol. Sokol is a athlete from the class of 2014.

Sokol has received offers from the Illinois Fighting Illini, Michigan State Spartans, Bowling Green Falcons, Central Michigan Chippewas, and Eastern Michigan Eagles.

Out of his five offers, the Michigan State Spartans seem to be at the top of the pack. The 247 Sports Crystal Ball currently has MSU as a 100% predicted spot to land the 2014 recruit.

Oct 6, 2012; Madison, WI, USA; Illinois Fighting Illini head coach Tim Beckman against the Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium.
Last season, Sokol played quarterback, linebacker, and defensive end atRochester High School.

The biggest strength that Sokol brings to all of his positions is his size and build. The 2014 recruit stands tall at 6’5″ and weighs 220 pounds.

When looking at the tape of Sokol, he uses his size to his advantage.

As a quarterback, he completely towers over his opponents on the field. He uses his height to launch passes down field in the passing game while he uses it to carry defenders down the field in the run game.

On defense, Sokol is an explosive pass rusher. No matter if its at the linebacker or defensive end position, he is quick on the outside off the snap to get into the backfield.

The 2014 recruit currently is not ranked by 247 Sports, Scouts, or Rivals.

George Brown Jr. may only be a 2015 recruit, but that hasn’t stopped him from getting an early start on the recruitment process. The 2015 recruit received his fifth offer on Sunday from the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The tight end from Ohio has received five early offers from the Illinois Fighting Illini, Bowling Green Falcons, Cincinnati Bearcats, Kentucky Wildcats, and Vanderbilt Commodores.

Nov 17, 2012; Champaign, IL, USA; Illinois Fighting Illini marching band members perform before the game between the Illinois Fighting Illini and Purdue Boilermakers at Memorial Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Bradley Leeb-USA TODAY Sports

Brown Jr. has also received some early interest from the Duke Blue Devils, Florida State Seminoles, Iowa Hawkeyes, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, Ohio State Buckeyes, Virginia Tech Hokies, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

The Big Ten as a conference has shown some early interest in him.

Right now, he has five Big Ten teams interested in him with one offer. However, he did attend the Purdue Boilermakers’ Junior Day on February 24th.

Even though it is VERY early in Brown Jr.’s recruiting, one team to look out for will be the Virginia Tech Hokies. This is because he has family ties to Virginia Tech. George’s older brother, Aaron Brown, was an offensive tackle for the Hokies in the mid-to-late 2000′s.

Brown Jr. is a 6’6″, 253 pound tight end from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is currently a sophomore at Colerain High School.
