Hoops Summer School

Illinois Basketball Summer School is a series on Writing Illini where basketball blogger Chris Maynard breaks down the individual games of those Illini basketball players returning for the upcoming season. Here’s the basic gist.

Essentially, each returning players gets 1-3 parts (depending on playing time the previous season).

Each part examines different areas of that player’s game, including last season’s stats/accomplishments, top/bottom 5 individual game performances, game-by-game player breakdowns, scouting reports, upcoming season projections and much more.

These observations are made after reviewing my notes from the Illini Tales of the Tape and are for constructive purposes.

I just started this section a couple of weeks back and hope to have it done for this upcoming season by the end of August 2010.

With that said, Illinois returns 7 scholarship players for the 2010-2011 season.
