The Illinois football team has a great class of 2019 coming in and a few of their commitments are still making the top 100 in the Rivals rankings.

Illini commit, Marquez Beason, moved up one spot on the new Rivals top 100 rankings. He was No. 92 in the previous rankings and is now up to No. 91 in the fresh rankings released this past Tuesday. This is a move that shouldn’t surprise many because of how talented this kid is on the football field.

Beason is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback who is now going to play for Duncanville High School this upcoming season. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 91 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 8 athlete in the nation.

Snagging Beason was huge for the Illinois football program. He is one of the highest rated recruits committed so far for the Illini in 2019 coming in at a 5.9 rating on the Rivals scale. The only player ahead of him is Isaiah Williams who comes in at a 6 rating.

This week, Beason told the Writing Illini that he was transferring over to Duncanville High School to finish out his senior year. This was later reported by The Dallas Morning News. This is a move that will only help improve Beason’s game and make him better for when he arrives in Champaign.

The other player in the top 100 is the previously mentioned, Isaiah Williams. He continues to stay strong at No. 47 in the nation. He is going to come into the Illinois football program as the starting quarterback in 2019. His skills throwing the football will complement his great running ability.

Williams is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound quarterback from Trinity Catholic High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 47 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 5 athlete in the nation. His presence in Champaign is going to do wonders for this program.

With Beason and Williams leading the way, the Illini should continue building one of the best classes we have seen in a long time. They have secured these two top recruits. They also have the No. 9 player in the state of Illinois, Fabian McCray, and are in the top three for the No. 8 player in the state of Illinois, Keith Randolph.
