The Illinois football team may have had a bad season, but there are still a few players that are projected to go in the NFL Draft this week.

The NFL Draft is something that had eluded the Illini for a few years in a row under the previous regime, but things are changing in Champaign. It looks like at least three players could be drafted this year.

This past draft did have a few players selected. That was the start of a streak of having players drafted that isn’t going to stop anytime soon.

I am excited to see where some of the Illini players get selected. Each team needs different positions and I think all five of the potentially drafted players have a role at the next level.

Some of the players that will be drafted could start right away. These draft prospects have the ability to be selected in the first half of the draft with picks that are used for impact players.

There are also Illini players who could be selected toward the end of the draft or potentially not get selected at all. These players can still be good but the teams are unsure of their value. This is where the diamonds in the rough lie.

I think all of the Illini players can do special things at the next level. Here is where I think those players will go in the draft.
