I am an avid fantasy football player.  This is partially because I like the thrill of gambling while “not gambling”, wink-wink.  Another reason is because this makes the most meaningless games more meaningful.

Statistics play a huge part in fantasy football.  This is why I have compared the stats for the Big Ten and compiled the ultimate fantasy football team for 2014.

This roster is the best at all positions from the Big Ten according to your averaging scoring system from the regular NFL fantasy football.

I decided to go with 1 quarterback for this team.  I know there are multiple leagues out there that probably have a 2 quarterback system, I only believe in 1.  I also decided to go with the 2 running back and 3 wide receiver lineup.  This is currently my system I have in a Yahoo league.

I follow these positions with a tight end slot.  There are some leagues out there that don’t include the tight end and just lump them in with the wide receivers.  I don’t believe in that either.  Tight ends get their day!

A flex position has been added to this fantasy lineup.  The flex position allows players to put anyone they want in there that is not a kicker, defense, or quarterback.

The Big Ten had a lot of candidates for this flex position.  You have to look at all the player’s stats and make sure you add them all up.  Some running backs can catch and some receivers can run.  This makes the numbers pretty big.

To finish it off we have the kicker and the defense.  In most leagues these positions are usual chosen last because they are least important in fantasy.

Now we continue on and start with the quarterback for your 2014 Big Ten Ultimate Fantasy Football lineup.
