THE SEASON IS UPON US! As we, fellow Illini fans, inch closer and closer to the start of the 2014 Illinois Football season, there is one thing most of us know: this offense, with another year under rumored magician Bill Cubit, has the potential to be lights out.

With a heralded quarterback competition and an intriguing list of wide receivers and running options, this offense has the potential to be one of the big surprises in the Big Ten (Big Fourteen) and possibly all of college football.

You could list how every single person on this team has the potential to have breakout years in 2014, but for arguments sake, let’s focus on five potential breakout stars this coming season.
