Following the Big Ten Media Days earlier this week, the Illinois Fighting Illini resumed their work on the recruiting trail for the Class of 2015. They did so on Wednesday by hosting 2015 offensive tackle Quinn Oseland.
Oseland currently hold offer from 22 different football programs.
However, according to 247Sports.com, the Springfield, Illinois native is heavily interested in Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Oregon, and Wisconsin (no offer).
The Fighting Illini seem to be the early favorite to land Quinn Oseland, as 46% of the experts on the 247Sports Crystal Ball predict them to land his commitment.
Oseland made the trip to Champaign on Wednesday along with Illini commit Gabe Megginson.
According to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, Oseland had this to say about meeting Illinois’ new offensive line coach Tom Brattan:
“”I got to meet the new o-line coach and all of the coaches really showed that they really wanted me to be there representing the home state and that was cool.”
The three-star recruit is currently ranked 14th in the state of Illinois, 80th among offensive tackles, and 739th among 2015 high school recruits by 247Sports.
