Earlier today, the Chicago Tribune reported that the Chicago Bears signed former Illinois offensive lineman Graham Pocic in order to fill an open roster spot following the waiving of Terrence Tolliver.
The Bears waived Tolliver using an injury settlement after the wide receiver suffered a foot injury earlier in training camp.
Pocic was a three year starter during his time with the Fighting Illini. He started 34 games during his career at the center and right tackle positions. Following his senior season, Pocic was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection by the media and named the team’s Outstanding Offensive Player at annual postseason banquet.
Coming out of Illinois, Graham Pocic signed with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2013, but did not make the 53-man roster.
Pocic will be looking to make the 53-man roster with the Chicago Bears and help the team compete in the NFC North, and maybe even for a Super Bowl title this season.
