Illinois Fighting Illini Football: Game Times Set For Youngstown State and Western Kentucky

The Big Ten Conference announced on Wednesday the game times for several football games which included Illinois’ first two games against Youngstown State and Western Kentucky. Both games will air on the Big Ten Network and will kickoff at 11:00 a.m. CST.

From FightingIllini.com,

Illinois now has six 2014 game times set, as the Sept. 27 game at Nebraska (8 p.m. CT) and Nov. 1 game at Ohio State (7 p.m. CT) were both previously announced as primetime games, the Sept. 13 game at Washington is set for a 3 p.m. CT start and the Homecoming game against Minnesota on Oct. 25 will kick at 11 a.m. CT.

TV and start times for remaining football games will be determined on the customary 6- or 12-day advance notice.

Illini Nation is looking for even more improvements from Tim Beckman’s Illinois squad in 2014.

After gaining just two wins in his first season as head coach, Beckman was able to double the Illini’s win total and won his first Big Ten conference game in 2013.

This season, the Illinois Fighting Illini will play Youngstown State, Western Kentucky, Washington, and Texas State in their non-conference portion of the season, and they have a good chance of going 3-1 or maybe even 4-0 in these games.

The Illini should be able to grab wins against Youngstown State, Western Kentucky, and Texas State. However, the road game against the Washington Huskies in Seattle will be the most important non-conference game for the team in 2014.
