On Monday, the Illinois Fighting Illini extended an offer to 2016 offensive tackle Sean Foster.
Illinois is the sixth team and the third Big Ten team to extend an offer towards the Mundelein, Illinois native.
So far, the teams to offer at him include: Illinois, Indiana, California, Nebraska, Nevada, and Syracuse.
Per 247Sports, Sean Foster is heavily interested in the Indiana Hoosiers, Michigan Wolverines, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Wisconsin Badgers.
Right now, the 247Sports Crystal Ball has the Carmel Catholic offensive tackle playing his college career in South Bend. The experts predict the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to offer and land the 2016 tackle.
Foster is set to attend Notre Dame’s football camp on June 21st.
One thing is clear when it comes to the offensive linemen that the Illinois Fighting Illini have offered at as of late. That is that Tim Beckman and company are looking to add beef to their O-line.
The past few offensive linemen to receive offers from Illinois have been 6’5″+ and 275+ pounds. Sean Foster fits that mold with his height of 6’8″, but he could be seen as “undersized.” His 265 pound frame is a little under Illinois’ target weight, but Foster makes up for it with his height.
