On Monday, the Illinois Fighting Illini added a new member to their staff as Hannah Quilling joined the women’s basketball team as the director of basketball operations.
Quilling played 127 games at point guard for the Green Bay Phoenix during her undergrad and was their fourth all-time leading scorer.
She then was a graduate assistant for the Ashford Saints during the past two seasons, and she received her master’s degree in organizational management with a focus in organizational leadership.
As the director of basketball operations, Hannah Quilling will schedule Illinois’ games and practices along with any special appearances.
She’ll also handle the team’s travel and will be Illinois’ chief liaison with the rest of the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Per fightingillini.com, head coach Mall Bollant had this to say about Illinois’ newest addition:
“Hannah is a great addition to our staff. She was a very good player for us at Green Bay and is going to be a star in this profession. I’m so excited to welcome Hannah to our Illini family and I know that she will bring great benefits to our program.”
Hannah Quilling replaces Jessica Abitz as director of basketball operations. Abitz left the Fighting Illini to accept an assistant coaching job at Upper Iowa University.
