On Wednesday, the Illinois Fighting Illini played host to one of the Top 75 JUCO recruits from the 2015 recruiting class in tight end Andrew Davis.

Davis currently holds two total offers from the Illinois Fighting Illini and Texas Longhorns. However, they aren’t the only teams showing interest in the Iowa Western TE.

Per 247Sports, Miami (OH) is also interested in Davis’ services.

Right now, the 247Sports Crystal Ball has Andrew Davis committing to the Orange & Blue when it’s all said and done. That’d be a good thing for Tim Beckman because Davis is suppose to be the top tight end target for Illinois.

To Illini fans, it shouldn’t be that big of a shock that Andrew Davis is at the top of Tim Beckman’s recruiting board. The reason being that Davis is a player at Iowa Western Community College.

Over the past two years, Coach Beckman has been able to reel in three recruits from Iowa Western in Dallas Hinkhouse, Martize Barr, and Geronimo Allision.

It may be safe to say that Beckman is trying to create a sort of “pipeline” between Iowa Western and Illinois.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 4th in the state of Iowa, 4th among tight end, and 73rd among 2015 JUCO recruits by 247Sports.
