The Illinois Fighting Illini continue to work hard on their 2015 recruiting class by targeting some of the top talent from across the country. This time, they did so by extending an offer to Florida tight end Chris Cunningham on Thursday.

Illinois is the nineteenth team and fourth Big Ten team to offer at the Jacksonville, Florida native.
Right now, the 247Sports Crytal Ball is pointing to Cunningham playing his college career in the ACC as all of the recruiting experts predict him to commit to the Virginia Tech Hokies.
At 6’3″, 225 pounds, Chris Cunningham is a big receiving target, especially over the middle of the field. He uses his size along with his overall strength to fight for extra yards and is a hard receiver for the defense to take down.
Cunningham also contains great technique at the tight end position. The way he is able to square up his shoulders for in/out routes is impeccable and resembles the way a basketball player boxes out a defender.
Although there are no clear favorites at this point in time, the Illinois Fighting Illini are on the outside looking in when it comes to Cunningham.
Illinois will need to start winning more games if Tim Beckman wants to have the smallest of chances in convincing Cunningham to join the Orange & Blue.
The three-star recruit is currently ranked 178th in the state of Florida, 42nd among tight ends, and 1,259th among 2015 high school recruits by 247Sports.
