On Tuesday, Tim Beckman and company extended an offer to 2015 offensive tackle Zeke Martin.
Illinois is only the fourth team and first Big Ten team to offer at the Medina, Ohio native. It is also his first offer from a BCS school.
So far, Zeke Martin has offers from Illinois, Akron, Ball State, and Toledo.
However, per Chris Anderson of EerSports, Martin is receiving heavy interest from Michigan State and West Virginia.
When it comes to his play on the football field, Zeke Martin is a much better run blocker than he is a pass blocker.
He is most effective when he can get his feet moving and push his defender down the field. He is a decent pass blocker, but will need some fine adjustments in order to be as good as he is in rushing situations.
One thing is clear when it comes to the offensive linemen that the Illinois Fighting Illini have offered at as of late. That is that Tim Beckman and company are looking to add beef to their O-line.
The past few offensive linemen to receive offers from Illinois have been 6’5″+ and 275+ pounds. Zeke Martin definitely fits that mold as he stands at 6’5″, 280 pounds.
