On Friday, Tim Beckman and company extended an offer to 2015 defensive tackle Kyle Henderson. Henderson is ranked as one of the Top 100 DTs from the 2015 recruiting class.
Illinois is just the fifteenth team and second Big Ten team to offer at the Tampa, Florida native. So far, Henderson has offers from Illinois, Boston College, Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, South Florida, Syracuse, UCF, Virginia, and Wake Forest.
Over the past few week, Tim Beckman and the Fighting Illini have been extending offers to high quality Florida recruits who are expected to give their verbals to other teams.
Good thing about Kyle Henderson is that he doesn’t seem to have any really strong favorites at this point in his recruitment.
That could prove to make things easier for Coach Beckman when recruiting Henderson to come play for the Illini in Champaign. However, Beckman will need to start winning more football games in order to convince these recruits that Illinois is really a good place to play (because we all know it’s the best!).
The three-star recruit is currently ranked 163rd in the state of Florida, 71st among defensive tackles, and 1,173rd among 2015 high school recruits by 247Sports.
