With Round Three of the Players Championship coming to a close, former Illini golfer Steve Stricker moved to four under par and tied at 24th with his performance on Saturday.
Stricker shot just one under par in Round Three after shooting two under par in Round Two. He was able to move up one spot to 24th overall with his play in Round Three on Saturday.
If he is able to finish the tournament in the Top 25, it would be Stricker’s 189th Top 25 finish in his 24 year career.
Another former Illini golfer playing in the Players Championship this weekend is Scott Langley.
After shooting an even par on Saturday, Langley is just one under par and sits on 37th overall entering Sunday’s final round. If Langley can move into the Top 25 on Sunday, it will be just his ninth Top 25 finish of his three year career.
At this point, the tee times for the final round on Sunday have not been released.
