After seeing zero Illinois Fighting Illini taken during the 2014 NFL Draft, Illini fans have something to be excited about as Illinois tight end Evan Wilson announced via his Twitter account that he has signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent.
Wilson played four season for the Illinois Fighting Illini. His best season was his freshman season in Champaign, but Wilson gave the Illini quality performances in all four of his season with the team.
Here’s a look at Evan Wilson’s career stats while at Illinois:
The Dallas Cowboys made nine selections during the 2014 NFL Draft. They made one pick on Day One, one pick on Day Two, and six picks on Day Three.
Evan Wilson will join Notre Dame’s Zack Martin, Boise State’s Demarcus Lawrence, Iowa’s Anthony Hitchens, Pitt’s Devin Street, Stanford’s Ben Gardner, Texas Tech’s Will Smith, Baylor’s Ahmad Dixon, NIU’s Ken Bishop, and Oregon’s Terrance Mitchell in Dallas.
