After extending offers to two 2016 recruits earlier this week, the Illinois Fighting Illini continued their “early” approach on the Class of 2016 by offering at Maryland cornerback Myles Wolfolk. Although he is listed as a cornerback, Wolfolk has also played safety for Largo High School.
Illinois is only the second team and first Big Ten team to offer at the Upper Marlboro native. The other team to have extended him an offer is the Clemson Tigers.
After looking at his film, Myles Wolfolk has a definite nose for the football in the secondary. With that kind of an innate ability to find the football while it’s in the air, there’s no questioning why Tim Beckman and company decided to throw a offer towards the young Maryland corner.
However, that’s not all when it comes to Myles Wolfolk. On top of his amazing ball skills, Wolfolk also has great speed and athleticism that could make him a top target for the Illini as they get closer and closer to the 2016 recruiting season.
