The Illinois Fighting Illini have been working hard these past two weeks on the 2015 recruiting class, but it’s never too soon to think about the future. Illinois did so by extending an offer to 2016 wide receiver Donnie Corley on Monday.
To no surprise, Tim Beckman and company are the first ones to send an offer Corley’s way. The young wide out has been receiving early attention from other Big Ten programs (Michigan, Michigan State, and Wisconsin).
In fact, the Spartans sent out one of their coaches on Monday to visit the Michigan recruit.
After looking at his film, Donnie Corley has that “going deep” factor at the wide receiver position. He has the speed needed to run effective fly routes, but also contains the ability to go up strong to catch deep passes.
Corley was the wide receiver MVP at the Best of the Midwest camp in Indianapolis this past February.
