Illinois Fighting Illini Basketball Recruiting: D.J. Williams and Aaron Jordan Make 2015 Rivals Top 150


On Wednesday, Rivals.com released its list of top 150 recruits in the Class of 2015. Among the 150 recruits to make the list, the biggest for fans of the Illinois Fighting Illini have to be Illini commits D.J. Williams and Aaron Jordan.

D.J. Williams (Simeon High School) was ranked as the 55th best recruit in the nation, and Jordan (Plainfield East High School) was ranked at 63rd.

Although Williams still has some teams listed as “cool” on 247Sports.com, Illini fans can be assured that the Simeon wing is Orange & Blue bound.

Coach Groce and the Fighting Illini also have two more scholarships to deal out in the Class of 2015.

  • Diamond Stone, Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin – 3rd
  • Elijah Thomas, Power Forward, Lancaster, Texas – 9th
  • Carlton Bragg, Power Forward, Cleveland, Ohio – 10th
  • Jalen Brunson, Point Guard, Lincolnshire, Illinois – 14th
  • Doral Moore, Center, Locust Grove, Georgia – 16th
  • Montaque Gill-Caesar, Shooting Guard, Huntington, West Virginia – 22nd
  • Jalen Coleman, Shooting Guard, La Porte, Indiana – 31st
  • Jawun Evans, Point Guard, Dallas, Texas – 45th
  • Josh Sharma, Center, Northfield, Massachusetts – 62nd
  • Hyron Edwards, Point Guard, East Chicago, Indiana – 99th
