Gabe Megginson — Offensive Tackle — 4-Star — 6’5″/295 — Jacksonville, IL (Jacksonville)

If Illinois wants to give their quarterback of the future (Bailey or Lunt) any kind of help, then adding one of the top offensive tackles in the state of Illinois would be a great start.

Gabe Megginson is a big, strong offensive tackle that has 27 offers ranging from Michigan State to Wisconsin.

Megginson is a big boy on the offensive line, and he would be a nice fit for the Bill Cubit system. He can block both the run and the pass, but his most impressive trait is that his motor never stops. He’s always looking up field for his next block at the second level and looks like a freight train when running down the field.

Illinois will definitely have to battle for this recruit. Right now, the 247Sports Crystal Ball predicts that Megginson is a Wisconsin lean. He also has offers from top Big Ten teams like Michigan State and Ohio State.
