Illinois Fighting Illini Basketball Recruiting: Nick Rakocevic Attends Game Against Ohio State

The Illinois Fighting Illini had themselves a visitor last night for their game against the #22 Ohio State Buckeyes as 2016 power forward Nick Rakocevic was in attendance for the game. Rakocevic is a sophomore at St. Joseph, but also plays for the same AAU team as 2015 Illini target Jalen Brunson (Mac Irvin Fire).

Rakocevic currently only has three total offers, but the Illini are not one of them. The three offers he has are from Creighton, Miami, and Northern Illinois. However, the Westchester native is receiving interest from other programs as well as six from the Big Ten.

Rakocevic stands tall at 6’9″ and demonstrates a number of skills on the court. He can shoot the ball from anywhere, drive to the basket with ease, pass the ball accurately, and block the ball with great force. There are not many big men who contain the types of skills that Rakocevic possesses.

Although Illinois hasn’t offered at the young St. Joe’s power forward, it might be safe to say that an Illini offer will be extended at some point in the future.
