Here are the final grades for the defensive and special team units for the 2013 Illinois Fighting Illini football team.

Defensive Line: F-

With a player like Austin Teitsma returning, who recorded 53 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss last season, the Illinois Fighting Illini defense will have a leader on the defensive line that can make some improvements next year from an overall dismal effort. Once Big Ten play began, the defensive line unit seemed to let their conference foes run all over them in games.

Illinois let nine Big Ten players run for over 100 yards against them and four of those players ran for over 200 yards.
