Illinois Fighting Illini Football Recruiting: Alex Golesh Visits Hunter Littlejohn

Mandatory Credit: Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

With the Illinois Fighting Illini’s football season over and done in 2013, the Illini staff is hitting the recruiting trail hard in order to improve the team for the future. On Tuesday, Illinois’ recruiting coordinator Alex Golesh made a trip to Powell, Ohio to visit 2015 offensive guard Hunter Littlejohn.

It is very early in Littlejohn’s recruitment, and he has only received offers from the Boston College Eagles, Illinois Fighting Illini, and Indiana Hoosiers.

However, some other schools receiving the Ohio recruit’s interest are Notre Dame, Penn State, and West Virginia.

At 6’4″, 267 pounds, Hunter Littlejohn demonstrates good size on the football field. He is a very strong blocker and has the ability to push a defender downfield at any moment. His only negative is that he is not the most agile lineman on the field. However, he makes up for it by being so strong on the line instead.

In high school, he has been seen in his film playing at the left guard position.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 25th in the state of Ohio, 19th among offensive guards, and 305th among 2015 high school recruits by 247Sports.
