According to Derek Piper of Illini247, the Illinois Fighting Illini are all set to make an in-home visit to 2014 wide receiver Dominiqie Booth today.
Booth decommitted from the Tennessee Volunteers on December 1st, and since then teams have been scrambling to impress the four-star recruit. The Indiana Hoosiers have sent coaches to visit Booth twice during the week and Booth paid unofficial visits to both Cincinnati and Indiana.
Along with Illinois, Rutgers and South Florida also plan to visit the Indiana native this upcoming week.
When it comes to Booth’s play on the field, he shows great size, route running ability, agility, and the ability to rack up yards after the catch. He also has good speed, hands, ball skills, and the ability to change directions.
There is no doubt that getting a commitment from Dominique Booth would be huge for the Fighting Illini. If they were able to do so, Booth would become the five wide receiver to commit to the team. However, two of those commits are JUCO receivers (Stone-Davis and Allison).
Tim Banks is the primary coach for the Illini recruiting Booth.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 3rd in the state of Indiana, 34th among wide receivers, and 228th among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
