Illinois Football: Live Thread For Penn State Game

There are 60,670 seats at Memorial Stadium. Every home game, Illini faithful fill the stands to be part of the “home game” experience. They hi-five with fellow fans when it goes right and console each other when it goes wrong. For the rest of us not in attendance, we do it virtually. Here. Welcome to the Illinois Fighting Illini Live Game Thread.

The Illinois Fighting Illini have lost three straight Big Ten conference games and are desperately looking for their first conference win under head coach Tim Beckman. This week, the Illini face off against the Penn State Nittany Lions in Happy Valley. Nathan Scheelhaase and company will be looking to get their season back on track while searching for that first Big Ten victory.

However, this game will not be an easy one. PSU enters today’s contest with an overall record of 4-3 and beat the Michigan Wolverines in four overtimes earlier this season.

For those of us watching at home, we have the Live Thread. Discuss every play, in real time, as it happens with your favorite Writing Illini writers and fellow Illini fans.

If you can’t make it to the game in person, this is the place to be.

Scroll down to join the action.

Enjoy the game, and GO ILLINI!
