The dismal winning percentage of 16.7 in 2012 for the Illinois Fighting Illini has caught the eye of many sportsbook’s.
Many people do not have the Illini in their championship picks. Most of those people probably do not have them in their top 100 teams out of 125 in the college football FBS.
The shaky two wins from 2012 will also be a main factor in deciding the over, under bet on how many wins are expected for this year’s Illini team.
If the Illini fans are realistic – the current over/under for the 2013 squad will not be a slap in the face.
- Illini Gambling Information
- Over/Under Season Wins – 3.5
- Odds to win National Championship – 2000:1
With that being said many sportsbooks have just lumped the Illini into what is called “the field” bet. The majority of teams in the FBS are listed in this category, but one sportsbook has decided to take a chance and break all the teams down.
5dimes.com sportsbook wants the money of us bettors apparently, but who would bet on the Illini anyways?
I have heard of miracles and if the Illini win the National Championship you will see a big orange “I” when you look up the definition in the dictionary.
