Florida Football Recruiting: Illinois Offers George Campbell

2015 wide receiver/safety George Campbell received an offer from the Illinois Fighting Illini on May 23rd. He is being recruited as a wide receiver. Campbell is the best ranked WR in the class of 2015 and is ranked in the top five in the state of Florida and the top twenty recruits overall.

Although he is only a sophomore in high school, the Florida native is receiving plenty of interest from across the country.

He has offers from the Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Michigan Wolverines, Arkansas Razorbacks, Auburn Tigers, Boston College Eagles, Clemson Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Illinois Fighting Illini, Louisville Cardinals, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan State Spartans, Mississippi State Bulldogs, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Ohio State Buckeyes, Ole Miss Rebels, South Florida Bulls, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas A&M Aggies, Central Florida Knights, UCLA Bruins, Vanderbilt Commodores, Virginia Tech Hokies, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

It seems that Campbell is heavily interested in Florida, Florida State, and Michigan. The 247 Sports Crystal Ball currently has Florida as a 100% predicted spot for this 2015 recruit.

In 2012, Campbell recorded 766 yards on 30 receptions and five touchdowns as a wide receiver. As a safety, he recorded 57 tackles.

The five-star recruit is currently ranked 3rd in the state of Florida, 1st among wide receivers, and 16th among 2015 high school recruits by 247Sports.
