Illinois v.s. Wisconsin: Kickoff Time And TV Are Set

The kickoff time of Illinois’ Big Ten home opener at Memorial Stadium against Gary Andersen’s Wisconsin Badgers has been set in prime time. The Big Ten foes will kick off at 7:00 p.m. locally in Champaign on Saturday, October 19th.

The game will take place on the Big Ten Network, as the Fighting Illini will make their second prime time appearance with their first BTN prime time game being their Chicago Homecoming game against the Washington Huskies on September 14th.

If history repeats itself, this prime time conference opener against the Badgers should be a good night for the Fighting Illini. The Illini are 14-8 all time in prime time games at home and are 4-3 all time in home night games against Big Ten opponents.

This game will be the first time Illinois has hosted a Big Ten opponent since 2008. Their last Big Ten night home game was on October 18, 2008 against the Indiana Hoosiers. Illinois defeated Indiana, 55-13.

The Illinois/Wisconsin game is one of twelve prime time games scheduled on the Big Ten Network for 2013. Some of the more notable prime time games for the BTN include: Western Michigan v.s. Michigan State (Aug. 30th), Syracuse v.s. Northwestern (Sept. 7th), Washington v.s. Illinois (Sept. 14), and Missouri v.s. Indiana (Sept. 21).
