The Fighting Illini’s softball game against the Ohio State Buckeyes will be postponed until Sunday due to the amount od rain to hit the Champaign area on Saturday.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at 2:00 p.m. (CST), but will now be played at 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Sunday with game three being at 3:00 p.m. (CST).
Illinois defeated the Buckeyes in come-from-behind fashion, 6-4. They tied the game in the fourth inning and took the lead in the sixth inning due to sloppy play by OSU defensively.
The Illini are currently riding a ten game winning streak after their game on victory on Friday. They are also 10-11 in the Big Ten and sit at the sixth spot in the conference.
If they win one game against the Buckeyes on Sunday, the Fighting Illini would finish ahead of OSU in the conference standings, but could fall one spot depending how Michigan State does this weekend.
