Football Recruiting: Mike Dudek Commits to Illinois


2014 three-star wide receiver Mike Dudek committed to the Illinois Fighting Illini on April 3rd. He is the third recruit from the 2014 class to commit to the Blue and Orange thus far.

Mike Dudek had offers from the Illinois Fighting Illini and North Dakota Fighting Sioux.

Although he only had two offers from Illinois and North Dakota, Dudek was receiving a fair amount of interest from numerous football program and four of them were Big Ten teams.

The Big Tens teams interested in the three-star WR were the Indiana Hoosiers, Michigan State Spartans, Purdue Boilermakers, and Wisconsin Badgers.

He visited the Wisconsin Badgers on March 16th and was scheduled to visit the Indiana Hoosiers this weekend.

As a junior in 2012, Dudek recorded 991 receiving yards on 46 receptions and fourteen touchdowns.

According to ESPN, he runs a 4.61 40-yard dash (best WR: 4.43), and a 3.91 20-yard shuttle (best WR: 3.90). He also recorded a 37.0 on the vertical jump (best WR: 41.7). His SPARQ Rating is a 114.72 (best WR: 120.54).

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 28th in the state of Illinois and 132nd among wide receivers by 247Sports.
