After a jam packed March with seven incoming offers, 2014 wide receiver Isaiah Ford saw April begin the exact same way. On April 1st, the Illinois Fighting Illini offered at the three-star WR.
Isaiah Ford has received offers from the Illinois Fighting Illini, Cincinnati Bearcats, Clemson Tigers, Florida International Panthers, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia State Yellow Jackets, Iowa State Cyclones, Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Maryland Terrapins, North Carolina Tar Heels, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, Purdue Boilermakers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Central Florida Knights, Vanderbilt Commodores, Virginia Tech Hokies, and West Virginia Mountaineers.
Illinois might only be the second Big Ten school to offer at the Jacksonville, Florida native, but he is gaining interest from across the country.
One school to watch in Ford’s recruitment will be the Florida State Seminoles. Since the new year, FSU is the only school Ford has visited.
Also, the Seminoles’ passing game coordinator, Lawrence Dawsey, visited him on January 14th.
If Illinois is going to make a case for Ford in the 2014 class, they will need to compete with FSU. Florida State looks as if they are already trying to heavily recruit the Florida recruit.
As a junior in 2012, Ford caught 42 passes for 602 receiving yards and thirteen touchdowns.
The three-star recruit is currently ranked 75th in the state of Florida and 65th among wide receivers by 247Sports.
