2014 tight end Nic Weishar unofficially visited the Michigan Wolverines on March 17th.
Weishar has offers from nineteen teams. The teams to have offered at him include: Notre Dame, Arkansas, Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina State, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Purdue, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin.
Out of these seventeen offers, it is projected that Weishar is heavily interested in the Michigan Wolverines, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the Northwestern Wildcats.
Weishar is a 6’5″, 215 pound tight end from Chicago, Illinois. He is a junior at Marist High School on Chicago’s southside.
The Marist Redhawks made it to the Class 8A Illinois State Playoffs with an overall record of 8-2.
However, they suffered a shocking home playoff loss to Lyons Township, 28-34, in the first round.
As a junior in 2012, Weishar recorded 1,100 receiving yards on 89 catches with five touchdowns. He was named a Second Team All-American by 247 Sports on February 10th.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 8th in the state of Illinois, 6th among tight ends, and 232nd nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
