Illinois Football Recruiting: Western Michigan Offers Eric Shute

2014 offensive guard Eric Shute received an offer from the Western Michigan Broncos on March 11th. This brings his total number of offers to seven.

The other teams to have offered at him include: the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Kentucky Wildcats, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the North Carolina State Wolfpack, the Syracuse Orange, and the Toledo Rockets.

Shute is a 6’5″, 270 pound offensive lineman from Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He is currently a junior at Glenbard West High School.

The Glenbard West Hilltoppers made it to the state championship of the Class 7A Illinois State Playoffs. In the title game, the defeated the Lincoln-Way East Griffins, 10-8.

The Hilltoppers finished the season with a perfect 15-0 overall record and a 6-0 conference record. They were obviously ranked first in the state of Illinois and also ranked 53rd in the nation.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 14th in the state of Illinois and 29th among offensive guards by 247Sports.
