Illinois Football Recruiting: Iowa State Offers Kyron Watson

2014 outside linebacker Kyron Watson received an offer from the Iowa State Cyclones on March 11th. This brings his total number of offers to seven.

The other teams to have offered at him include: the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Kansas Jayhawks, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the Missouri Tigers, the Purdue Boilermakers, and the Syracuse Orange.

Also, he has not received offers, but is receiving interest from the Michigan Wolverines, the Michigan State Spartans, the North Carolina State Wolfpack, the Northern Illinois Huskies, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Watson is a 6’1″, 215 pound outside linebacker from East St. Louis, Illinois. He is currently a junior at East St. Louis High School.

The East St. Louis Flyers made it to the Class 7A Illinois State Playoffs. However, they would lose to Edwardsville High School, 18-21, in the second round.

As a junior in 2012, Watson recorded 142 tackles, twelve tackles for loss, five sacks, and three interceptions.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 17th in the state of Illinois and 42nd among outside linebackers by 247Sports.
