Illinois Basketball Recruiting: Vincent Edwards Visits Michigan


2014 small forward Vincent Edwards unofficially visited the Michigan Wolverines on March 10th for their game against the #2 Indiana Hoosiers. The Wolverines lost to Indiana, 72-71.

Edwards has offers from five teams. The teams to have offered at him include: the Michigan Wolverines, the Purdue Boilermakers, the Dayton Flyers, the West Virginia Mountaineers, and the Xavier Musketeers.

It is projected that Edwards is heavily interested in the Michigan Wolverines and the Purdue Boilermakers.

Also, he has not received offers, but is receiving interest from Arizona, Arizona State, Butler, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oregon State, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, and Wright State.

Edwards is a 6’7″, 198 pound small forward from Middletown, Ohio. He is currently a junior at Middletown High School.

The Middletown Maddies finished the season with an overall record of 12-11 and a conference record of 9-5. They lost to Kings High School, 63-51, in the playoffs.

The four-star recruit is currently ranked 2nd in the state of Ohio, 22nd among small forwards, and 93rd nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
