Illinois Basketball Recruiting: Hyron Edwards Visits Michigan


2015 point guard Hyron Edwards unofficially visited the Michigan Wolverines on March 10th for their game against the #2 Indiana Hoosiers. The Wolverines lost to Indiana, 72-71.

He has offers from three teams. These teams to have offered at him include: the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Purdue Boilermakers, and the Indiana Hoosiers.

Also, he has not received offers, but is receiving interest from the Michigan Wolverines, the Michigan State Spartans, the DePaul Blue Demons, the Missouri Tigers, the Northwestern Wildcats, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Stanford Cardinal, and the Xavier Musketeers.

Edwards is a 5’11″, 150 pound point guard from East Chicago, Indiana. He is currently a sophomore at East Chicago Central High School.

Last year as a freshman, he averaged 14.8 points per game and 6.7 assists per game.

Edwards is being recruited by head coach Tom Crean of the Indiana Hoosiers.
