Football Recruiting: Illinois Offers Jack Beneventi


2015 pro-style quarterback Jack Beneventi received an offer from the Illinois Fighting Illini on March 10th. He was visiting the University of Illinois this past weekend.

The offer from the Fighting Illini brings Beneventi’s total number of offers to three. The other teams to offer at him are the Massachusetts Minutemen and the Western Michigan Broncos.

Also, he has not received offers, but is receiving interest from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Michigan State Spartans, the Northwestern Wildcats, and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Beneventi is a 6’6″, 185 pound pro-style quarterback from Lisle, Illinois. He is currently a sophomore at Benet Academy.

The Benet Redwings made it to the Class 7A Illinois State Playoffs. They would make it all the way to the semifinals, but lost to the Lincoln-Way East Griffins, 37-13.

As a sophomore is 2012, Beneventi recorded 2,318 passing yards and twenty passing touchdowns.

He is being recruited by Chuck Martin of Notre Dame, Dan Roushar of Michigan State, and Ron Vanderlinden of Penn State.
