Minnesota Football Recruiting: Kyron Watson Visits Illinois

2014 outside linebacker Kyron Watson attended the Illinois Fighting Illini’s Junior Day on March 9th.

Watson has offers from six teams. The teams to have offered at him include: the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Kansas Jayhawks, the Missouri Tigers, the Purdue Boilermakers, and the Syracuse Orange.

Also, he has not received offers, but is receiving interest from the Michigan Wolverines, the Michigan State Spartans, the North Carolina State Wolfpack, the Northern Illinois Huskies, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Watson is a 6’1″, 215 pound outside linebacker from East St. Louis, Illinois. He is currently a junior at East St. Louis High School.

The East St. Louis Flyers made it to the Class 7A Illinois State Playoffs. However, they would lose to Edwardsville High School, 18-21, in the second round.

As a junior in 2012, Watson recorded 142 tackles, twelve tackles for loss, five sacks, and three interceptions.
