2014 athlete Dareian Watkins unofficially visited the Northwestern Wildcats on March 8th.
Watkins has narrowed his list down to five teams. The teams on his list include: the Michigan State Spartans, the Northwestern Wildcats, the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Indiana Hoosiers, and the Louisville Cardinals.
It is projected that Watkins is heavily interested in the Michigan State Spartans and the Northwestern Wildcats.
Watkins is a 6’2″, 192 pound dual-threat quarterback/wide receiver from Galion, Ohio. He is currently a junior at Galion High School.
Galion made it to the Division IV Ohio State Playoffs.
However, they lost to North Union High School, 13-33, in the first round.
For Illinois, Watkins is being recruited by linebackers coach, Mike Ward. He is also being recruited by Mike Tressel of Michigan State, Mick McCall of Northwestern, and Tommy Restivo of Louisville.
The four-star recruit is currently ranked 5th in the state of Ohio, 10th among athletes, and 118th nationally among 2014 high school recruits by 247Sports.
