Illinois Football Recruiting: Wyoming Offers Shane Evans

2014 offensive guard Shane Evans received an offer from the Wyoming Cowboys on March 7th. This brings his total number of offers to five.

The other teams to have offered at him are the Northern Illinois Huskies, the Bowling Green Falcons, the Toledo Rockets, and the Western Michigan Broncos.

He has not received offers, but is receiving interest from the Boston College Eagles, the Florida State Seminoles, the Illinois Fighting Illini, the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Miami Hurricanes, the Michigan Wolverines, the Northwestern Wildcats, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the UCLA Bruins, the Vanderbilt Commodores, and the Wisconsin Badgers.

Evans is a 6’5″, 290 pound offensive lineman from Crystal Lake, Illinois. He is currently a junior at Prairie Ridge High School.

The Prairie Ridge Wolves did not make the Illinois State Playoffs. They finished this past season with an overall record of 3-6.

Evans is being recruited by Chuck Martin of Notre Dame, Lester Erb of Iowa, Louis Ayeni of Toledo, and Brian Callahan of Western Michigan.

The three-star recruit is currently ranked 27th in the state of Illinois and 40th among offensive guards by 247Sports.
